So here we are. MySpace site updated, blogs written, CDs are for sale at CDBaby.com, first reviews have been written, we even opened a merch store at Zazzle. Now the only things that are missing are fans who are willing to spend their hard earned Dollars on buying our music.
How do you reach an audience big enough to find those chosen few who really love your stuff above everything else?
This is the first time I’m trying this sort of thing and I’m in the process of learning the secrets of promoting and selling music successfully. A process you can be part of by reading this blog.
So maybe I got it all wrong but in this digital time and age it’s all about links, right?! So at least my inner voice keeps telling me. So if you look up ‘Quickbourn‘ in Google there’s already a lot of information. Feeding this information by writing blogs at MySpace, here or elsewhere is surely a good start. But before long you’ll find out that it won’t get you too far. Try to look up ‘progressive rock Hamburg’ and you’ll find us on page 15! Bummer! Try ‘progressive rock Germany’ … well, better forget about it! You’ll never find us, unless you know our name.
Still, for now we are trying to increase the number of sites associated with us. So that if you should look for ‘Quickbourn’ you won’t miss us, guaranteed! At the moment we’re submitting our lyrics to sites like AZLyrics. We’re also working on increasing the number of ‘friends’ on MySpace in hope to find those ‘true friends’ among them. There will also be a competition soon. But more about that later.

Kinder besitzen eine natürliche Bewegungsfreude und haben ein großes Bewegungsbedürfnis.Sie wollen sich neugierig ausprobieren und spüren, was das Leben an neuen Bewegungserfahrungen für sie bereit hält.
In meinem Unterricht greife ich in erster Linie diese Freude und Neugierde an der Bewegung auf. Die Kinder lernen spielerisch und improvisatorisch mit Rhythmus und Musik umzugehen.
Mein Unterricht besteht aus vielen bildhaften Themen. Die Kinder bekommen durch Gesang und Sprechrhythmen einen leichteren Zugang zu bestimmten Bewegungsabläufen. Es werden auch kleine Tänze bzw. Choreografien eingeübt.
Ich möchte den Kindern die Möglichkeit geben, sich mehr und mehr in ihren Ausdrucksmöglichkeiten / -fähigkeiten zu erfahren, daran zu wachsen und ihr Selbstvertrauen zu stärken.
Gemeinsamkeit und das Miteinander liegen mir ebenfalls sehr am Herzen und können durch das Tanzen sehr gefördert werden.
Ich bin staatl. gepr.Tanzpädagogin und tiefenpsychologische Körpertherapeutin und unterrichte seit 1994 leidenschaftlich gern Kindertanz für Kinder im Alter zwischen 3 1/2 und 10 Jahren im Tanzstudio ‘Los Cabales’ in der Rothestraße 62, im Herzen von Ottensen.

Das Prog-Duo F.O.N. hat sich entschlossen, Abschied von ihrem bisherigen Projektnamen zu nehmen und nennt sich ab sofort QUICKBOURN. Entstanden aus dem Namen der Stadt Quickborn, nahe Hamburg, der Heimatstadt von Thomas Kirschler und Christian Meyer-Pedersen (adMeyer), ist QUICKBOURN als Name einzigartig und leichter im Internet zu finden. Ausserdem Bleibt der begriff besser im Gedächtnis haften, hoffen Kirschler und Meyer-Pedersen.
An der Musik des Duos hat sich allerdings nichts geändert. Nach wie vor arbeiten beide an ihrem ersten Album, das bereits hitverdächtiges Material beinhaltet, wie Straight Shooter, Globalize This oder Katie, in der überarbeiteten Version von Thomas Kirschler.
Auch hoffen die beiden, dass die treue MySpace-Gemeinde mit zur neuen Adresse myspace.com/quickbourn ‘umzieht’. Persönliche Einladungen werden in den nächsten Tagen verschickt.

Looking for a new inspiring name for prog-project FON Rock Quickbourn is still favourite. So far the name is neither taken by any myspace-user nor another band.
